Childbirth to Figure-Champion... in just 150-Days!

  Julie Lohre is nothing if not inventive. An example of this would be in her use of supplements. With thousands of successful clients reporting to us regularly on how they implement Beverly products into their lifestyle, we thought we’d heard it all. Not so!   More impressively, Julie defied traditional post-pregnancy tradition by winning the Northern Kentucky Figure just five months after having her first son!
It’s not that I haven’t been physically fit all of my life. In fact, I began exercise practically from the moment I left the womb. At three years, I started gymnastics and stayed competitive well into my teens. I even tried out for the Junior National Team. I developed an appreciation for discipline, strength, flexibility, and muscularity early. In college, I taught gymnastics. But alas, my nutrition ‘program’ became fast food value meals. After graduation, I began a career at Procter & Gamble and my husband, Rick and I (yeah I picked up one of those mates along the way too) tried to be active.

  We joined a gym. But – you’ve heard the word recidivism?* That was me. (*Editor’s Note: recidivism–A tendency to slip back into a previous behavior pattern.) I became pregnant in 2002, and decided to go natural childbirth. I was told that I needed to be in great shape to do that and (following Madonna’s lead) started doing yoga. After a very healthy pregnancy and natural (a long but drug-free delivery), our son Tre (short for Richard III) arrived. At this point, we went back to the gym.   One day, while there I just happened to pick up a Beverly No Nonsense Newsletter. As I read about "this wondrously effective protein powder", Muscle Provider and some of the inspirational stories from real customers, my addiction had begun! I was hooked on training and proper eating. Soon enough I found out what others come to know, having great products is one thing, but... it is Beverly’s personal service and expertise that really made the difference.

 Now my husband Rick was already ahead of me, having used Ultra 40, Mass, Lean Out, Super Pack, and Ultra Size to go from 24% fat to 16% in just ninety days! He motivated me so much that I decided to enter an upcoming NPC Figure competition, the Northern Kentucky, which was just eight weeks away. I hadn’t even seen a Figure event let alone entered one. What to do? How to start? I decided to attend a personal Beverly contest preparation seminar. I ended up following all their well-explained, practical advice to the letter. I came in at 8.5% body fat and while having given birth just five months earlier. My goal was just to place.
